Privacy notice

This notice describes what this site collects and what the advertising code on its free pages does. It was written by checking the site rather than by adapting a template.

What the site collects

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies for this and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites. What it records is aggregate: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world from, and what kind of browser.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, views of paid offers, and checkout clicks. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We send the public page path and product identifiers. When you click a Stripe buy link, we also create a random reference for that click and send the same reference to Google Analytics and Stripe so we can match the click to a Checkout Session. The reference contains no recipe inputs, email address, license key, or payment details. Page query strings and fragments are excluded from Analytics events. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. This tracking and the shared checkout reference do not run when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

A checkout click is an expression of interest, not proof of payment. Stripe processes payments separately. We do not use social media pixels or session recording.

Advertising

The free pages of this site use Google AdSense to show ads. The paid tools at /pro/, the Kitchen Pack page, the download page, the legal pages and the contact page do not load ad code.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services, and how Google uses cookies in advertising.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, no ad code loads until you press Allow in the banner. If you allow it, ads are requested as non-personalized ads. Google still uses cookies or device storage to show and measure those ads and to stop fraud. If you decline, no ad code loads.

In other countries the ad code loads with the page. It does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or when you have declined with the button below.

To know which rule applies, the page asks this site's own server one question: is this visitor in a country where consent is required? The answer is yes or no. The site does not store your country or your IP address for this.

Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the name ic_ads_choice. It holds the choice and its date and nothing else. An allow lasts 390 days and a decline lasts 180 days. After that the site treats you as a new visitor.

What the site does not collect

• No account, because there is nothing to sign into.
• No email address. Nothing on this site asks for one.
• No contact forms, so nothing you type into a calculator is transmitted anywhere. The calculators run entirely in your browser.
• No newsletter and no mailing list.

If you buy IngredientCalculator Pro

Payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects what it needs to take the payment, including your card details, email address and country. Card details go to Stripe and never reach this site. I see order records and aggregate totals. Stripe's privacy notice governs what they hold.

The Kitchen Pack download and access to the paid tools at /pro/ both work from a signed key rather than an account, so no personal data is needed to deliver the files, to open the tools, or to download them again later. The key is checked in your browser and the tools in the zip run with no connection at all, which means they send nothing anywhere.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests in order to serve pages and keeps standard server logs for security and abuse prevention.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to processing. Because this site holds almost nothing, most requests will be short. For card and payment data, Stripe is the processor and holds the details I never see, so those requests are best directed to them. For order records, write to me and I will help.

Who is responsible

The controller of what little data this involves is AUTOM8 LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Armenia (registration number 271.110.1414725), at 4/3 Pirumyanner, suite 12, Davtashen 0054, Yerevan, Armenia.
